Compassionate Jesus cheered at the entrance to Jerusalem (Matthew 20:29-21:17)

a. Two blind men call out for “Son of David” to have mercy (29-30)

b. Crowd rebukes men, causing them to cry out louder for “Son of David” mercy (31)

c. Jesus responds, has compassion, touches their eyes and they receive their sight (32-34)

d. Approaching Jerusalem, Jesus sends two ahead for donkey and colt  (21:1-3)

e. Prophecy fulfilled regarding king Jesus (4-5)

f. Crowd cheers Jesus as He enters Jerusalem “Hosanna, Son of David…”(6-9)
