Disciples experience transfigured Jesus with Moses and Elijah (Matthew 17:1-13)

a. Peter, James and John go up mountain alone with Jesus (1)

b. Jesus is transfigured before them and Moses and Elijah appear talking with Jesus (2-3)

c. Peter asks if Jesus wanted three shelters for Jesus, Moses and Elijah; then the Lord comments Jesus and says listen to him (4-5)

b. Jesus asks Peter, who do kings of earth collect tax, from their children or others (25)

c. Peter responds “others” and Jesus reflects that then children are exempt (26)

d. Jesus respond to Peter so that we may not cause offense go fishing (27a)

e. Jesus tells Peter that the first fish will have four coins in his mouth to pay temple tax for Peter and himself (27b)
