Bridegroom is coming; preparation is critical (Matthew 25:1-13)

a. Kingdom of heaven likened to 10 virgins – 5 wise and 5 foolish (1-2)

b. Wise took oil and foolish did not (3-4)

c. Bridegroom took long time coming and virgins fell asleep (5)

d. At bridegrooms coming, wise were ready and foolish pleaded for oil  (6-7)

Master is coming; Accounts faithful servants are rewarded while unfaithful rejected  (Matthew 25:14-30)

a. Jesus describes faithful servants activity with bags of gold  (14-18)

b. Jesus describes settling account with faithful servants with 5 and 2 bags of gold (19-23)

c. Jesus describes unfaithful servant as lazy and unwise (24-25)

Be Watchful (Matthew 24:1-14)

a. Temple buildings lead to Jesus prophecy of destruction (1-2)

b. Disciples ask when the temple is to be destroyed (3-4)
