Abram and Lot Separate (Genesis 13)

a.  Abram leaves Egypt going to Negev and then to Bethel (1-4)

b. Lot moved around with Abram raising land issues and quarreling (5-7)

c. Abram raises quarreling issues with Lot with decision to separate (8-9)

d. Lot decides on well-watered land with sinful people (10-13)

e. Lord says to Abram in promise that his off-spring will have land he sees forever; a covenant promise  (14-17)

Abram saves Lot from  waring kingdoms (Genesis 14:1-17)

a. Kings of Ellasar, Elam, Goyim go to war against Kings of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboyim, Bela in Valley of Siddim (1-4)

b. Kedarlaomer (Edam) defeats the Rephaites, Zuzites, Emites, Horites and conquers territory of Amalekites and Amorites (5-7)

c. Kings of Sodom, Gomorrah, Adah, Bela to do battle and flee the fight  and spoils go to victor including Lot (8-12)

d. Abram is told, assembles 318 trained men and divides and conquers Kedolaomer in Valley of Shaveh – Kings Valley (13-17)

Abram’s receives a blessing from Melchizedek; rejects King of Sodom spoils offer. (Genesis 14:18-24)

a. Melchizedek, priest of God Most High, blesses Abram (18-20a)

b. Abram gives 10th of everything (20b)

c. King of Sodom offer to split spoils with Abram, taking people and giving goods (21)

d. Abram rejects offer saying he would not accept anything (22-24)
