a.  Shem was the father of  Arphaxad (10-11)

Abram’s Journey of Faith (Genesis 12:1-9)

c. Abram goes to Canaan land God’s promise that offspring to possess the land with an altar built to Lord at Shechem (4-7)

d. Abram proceeds to Bethel and builds alter to Lord (8)

e. Abram from there proceeds to the Negev (9)

 

 

Abram’s decision and Lord’s protection in Egypt (Genesis 12:10-20)

a. Famine causes Abram to go to Egypt (10)

b. Abram plots with Sarai fearing being killed tells Egyptians that she is his sister (11-13)

c. Sarai being beautiful is taken to Pharaoh’s palace; Abram treated well(14-16)

d. Lord protect Sarai inflicting disease on Pharaoh’s household (17)

e. Pharaoh question’s Abram and sends Abram away (18-19)
