Gospel of John



Purpose:  
"These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name."  John 20:21

John identifies self and points to Jesus bringing followers
Jesus performs miracles, clears temple, and shows signs for belief
Nicodemus asks; Jesus responds with God's eternal life provision
Samaritan Woman learns of living water, true worship and witnesses
Ripe eternity harvest with Samaritan belief and Galilean son’s healing
Healing brings leaders challenge to Jesus work and God’s testimony
Loaves and Fishes feed and water walking demonstrate Jesus   power
God’s works sought and signs wanted from Bread of Heaven
Jews grumble of heavens food; some leave and disciples believe
Jesus teaching brings questions of His source and judging correctly.
Adulterous woman found; Truth is identified and will set us free.
Blind man given sight; validating truth to questioning blinded Pharisees
Good Shepherd’s provision for sheep demonstrates good works from Father
Jesus demonstrates compassion raising Lazarus bringing belief and leadership consternation
Faith in Jesus demonstrated through anointing, entry and belief.
Servant Jesus washes feet, tells of acceptance and identifying betrayer.
Jesus prepares believers heavenly home providing way, truth and life.
Keeping Jesus words, commands and our obedience brings Fathers love.
Fruit and love come from branches remaining in true vine.
John describes Jesus follower’s requirement for life of love
Jesus describes His departure, our advocate bringing joy and peace.
Jesus prayer for His glory seen, and sanctified follower's unity

Jesus’ arrest response “I am He”; contrasted with Peter’s denial
Pilate’s Jesus trial raises kingship power with calls to crucify
Jesus crucified finishing earthly redemption as “King of the Jews
Jesus body pierced fulfilling scripture and buried in new tomb.
Empty tomb is witnessed; risen Jesus' wounds verified bringing belief.
Jesus appears to disciples asking of fish, love and testimony.

I have made changes to not send a request to me for access. Hopefully, you will now be able to go directly to a location that will provide access to all the previous year's homiletics. I am now posting weekly Gospel of John homiletics for this year's study.
