Faith demonstrated as Jesus took up infirmities and bore our diseases (Matthew 8:1-17)

a. Knowing Faith of Man with leprosy (unclean) asking to be made clean; Jesus touched him  (1-3)

b. Jesus instructs to go to priest, offer gift as testimony (4)

c. Trusting Faith of Centurion asking for help for paralyzed suffering servant (5-9)

d.  Jesus amazed at centurion’s great faith; and in Jesus’ word the servant immediately healed (10-13)

Faith resisted  as Jesus casts out demons in word “Go” from demon-possessed men (Matthew 8:28-34)

a. Violent demon-possessed met Jesus asking if he would torture before time (28-29)

b. Jesus drives out evil into herd of pigs who die in water (30-32)

c. Those tending pigs report what occurred in demon-possessed men  (33)

d. Whole town met Jesus and plead for him to leave (34)
