Scroll and Worthy One to unseal.

 (Revelation 5:1-5)

1. John sees in the right hand of the one on the throne a scroll with 7 seals (1)

2. Mighty angel proclaiming loudly “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” (2)

3. No one in heaven, earth or under could open it and see the contents (3)

4. John weeps because no one was found worthy of opening scroll to see inside (4)

5. One of the elders said don’t weep the Lion of Judah is able to open the scroll and its 7 seals (5)

 

 

Lamb takes scroll and New Song saying Worthy (Revelation 5:6-10)

1. John sees the Lamb, looking as if slain standing in the center of the throne. (6a)

a. Encircled by four living creatures and the elders (6b)

b. Lamb had 7 horns and 7 eyes which are 7 spirits of God sent out to all the earth (6c)  

2. He took the scroll from the one on the throne (7)

3. When he took it the 4 living creatures and 24 elders fell before the Lamb. (8)

a. Each had a harp (8b)

b. Holding golden bowls of incense [prayer of the people] (8c)

4. A new song was sung… Worthy because you were slain, you made persons from every tribe, language, people and nation a kingdom to serve God (9-10)

Voices of Angels and then All creation saying Worthy (Revelation 5:11-14)

1. John looks and hears voice of many angels; thousands and thousands and they encircled throne, creatures and elders (11)

2. In loud voice they say “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and praise (12)

3. Then every creature in heaven, earth, under earth and sea say “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise, honor, glory and power forever and ever”. (130

4. Four living creatures say “Amen” and elders fell down and worshiped (14)

Approaching God on the Throne

 (Revelation 4:1-6a)

1. Door standing Open in heaven (1)

a. A voice saying come

b. I’ll show you what must take place after this.

2. In the Spirit, John sees the throne (2-3)

a. The occupant had the appearance of Jasper ruby.

b. A rainbow shining like an emerald circled the throne.

3. Surrounding the throne were 24 thrones with 24 elders (4)
