Jacob meets Rachel and her father Laban  (Genesis 29:1-13) a.  Jacob arrives at large well with shepherds (1-3) b. Jacob asks about Laban and told Rachel coming with sheep (4-6) c. Discussion of time to water sheep (7-8) d. Rachel comes with sheep and Jacob rolls stone away  (9-10) e. Jacob tells he is family and kisses Rachel (11-12) f. Laban comes to meet Jacob declaring he is own flesh and blood (13-14)

Jacob negotiates work for Rachel as wife and deceived by Laban   (Genesis 29:14-30) a. Jacob stays with Laban; works and is asked about wages (14-15) b. Jacob asks to work 7 years for Rachel as wife (16-17) c. Laban says stay and Jacob works 7 year   (18-21) d. Laban gives feast and gives Leah instead to Jacob (22-24) e. Jacob challenges Laban for substituting Leah for Rachel (25) f. Laban’s excuse is the custom of giving older first (26) g. Laban and Jacob agree to another 7 years for Rachel (27-30)

God recognizes Leah recognized is not loved by Jacob and blesses with four sons (Genesis 29:31-35) a. Lord sees Leah not loved enabling her to conceive with Reuben – her misery (31-32) b. Leah conceives Simeon – Lord heard not loved (33) c. Leah conceives Levi – husband not attached (34) d. Leah conceives Judah – praise to Lord (35)
