Joseph remembered as Pharaoh dreams  (Genesis 41:1-38) a. Two years pass and Pharaoh has dreams (1-7) b. None of Pharaoh’s magicians and wise men could interpret dream  (8) c. Joseph put in charge of Egypt and fruitful (Genesis 41:39-57) a. Pharaoh selects Joseph to be in charge of the palace and all people (39-44) b. Jacob sends son’s to purchase grain in Egypt causing distress (Genesis 42) a. Jacob learns of grain in Egypt sending 10 sons to buy grain  (1-3) b. Benjamin was not sent because fear of harm that might come (4) b. Joseph’s brothers go to buy grain  bowing down to him (5-6) c. Joseph recognizes brothers and spoke harshly to them accusing them to be spies (7-14) d. Joseph proposes test asking for youngest to be brought back putting them in prison (15-17) e. On third day, brothers released and given grain demanding brother bringing distress (18-21) f. Ruben remembers their sin; Joseph has Simeon put in prison  (22-24) g. Bags filled with grain and silver (25-26) h. Recognizing silver brings fear (27-28) i. Jacob told of demand and Simeon bringing sorrow (29-38)
