Abraham sends senior servant to locate wife for Isaac from his country (Genesis 24:1-9) a.  Abraham calls servant and request he find a wife for Isaac from Abrahams people (1-2) b. Servant questions parameters of search (5) c. Abraham tells of an angel going before him (6-7) d. Abraham says that if a woman will not come back, servant is released from oath  (8-9)

Abraham’s servant prays and prayers immediately answered   (Genesis 24:10-48) a. Servant  travels to Nahor arriving near the well  (10-11) b. Servant prays for success with signs of chosen woman (12) c. Before prayers complete Rebekah comes showing signs requested from servant.  (13-21) d. Servant asks about Rebekah’s family and if there is room for him to spend the night (22-25) e. Servant praises the Lord for answered prayer (26-27) f. Rebekah tells her brother Laban of encounter with Servant (28-31) g. Servant tells of Abraham, his mission, encounter with Rebekah and answered prayer (32-48)

Abraham servant returns with Rebekah as Isaac’s wife (Genesis 24:49-67) a. Servant asks for a decision on Rebekah (49) b. Laban and Bethuel respond that this request is from the Lord; she can be Isaac’s wife (50-51) c. Servant hearing of decision gives gifts to Rebekah, Laban and mother (52-54) d. Laban and Bethuel request 10 day wait and servant’s desire for immediate departure (55-56) e. Rebekah, when asked, desires to go and is blessed as she goes (57-61) f. Isaac while mediating sees Rebekah and covers herself (62-65) g. Isaac takes Rebekah into his mother’s tent and marries her. (66-67)
